I am a project scientist at UC Santa Barbara. I am here on a sabbatical leave from my current DST-Inspire Faculty position in Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.
I am interested in the topics related to the intergalactic medium, a space between galaxies, which contains more than 90% of the ordinary matter in the Universe. My current work is focused on studying the evolution of the intergalactic medium over last 8 billion years using hydrogen (Lyman-alpha) absorption signatures observed with the Hubble Space Telescope and its connection to galaxy formation.
