I am an assistant professor at the Department of Physics of the Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati, AP India.
I am interested in the topics related to the intergalactic medium, the space between galaxies, which contains more than 90% of the ordinary matter in the Universe. I am studying the evolution of the intergalactic medium over last 10 billion years using hydrogen (Lyman-alpha) absorption lines observed with the Hubble Space Telescope and its connection to galaxy formation. Additionally, I am also working on a space biology program and few projects related to Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).
